"Bluffton Along the Leaf River" Bluffton is located on the intersection of State Highway 10 and County 19 between New York Mills and Wadena along the Leaf River. Like so many Ottertail County Communities, Bluffton grew with the coming of the Northern Pacific Railroad. The major industry was farming and the railroad brought about the expansion of Bluffton with its flour mill and the Bluffton Creamery. Farming remains the major industry of Bluffton today. Located on Highway 10, Bluffton is a gateway to the Ottertail County Lakes Country from the east. Enjoy fishing in both summer and winter, boating, skiing and swimming in the many Minnesota lakes. |
