New York Mills is located on the intersection of State Road 10 and County 67 in NE Ottertail County. New York Mills has a rich Finnish Culture that still thrives today. Finnish settlers arrived in New York Mills in 1874.

Today New York Mills has gained National recognition due to the "Great American Think Off" that is held there annually.

Pictured is one of the many sculptures in the New York Mills Sculpture Park.

New York Mills is also the home of  Lund Boats. Lund Boats is the industry leader in boating and proud to still be in New York Mills over 50 years.

Points of Interest:

New York Mills is home to the famous Whistle Stop Inn Bed and Breakfast.

The Continental Divide Centennial Monument is located in New York Mills Central Park. The monument (pictured right) sits on the exact spot of the Continental Divide.

The Finn Creek Open Air Museum, dedicated to the Finnish Culture is located just southeast of New York Mills and open all summer. Folks from New York Mills and the surrounding areas also enjoy the Finn Creek Festival held there the end of August.
