The city of Wadena is located on the eastern edge of Ottertail county and the SW edge of Wadena county on the intersection of State Highway 10 and State Highway 59.
Wadena offers many services including Tri-County Hospital, Wadena Medical Center, Wadena Library, Wadena Airport and the Wadena Volunteer Fire Department.
Wadena Deer Creek Independent School District #2155 offers K-12 education plus many extracurricular activities. Their school motto is "Building a Legacy of Excellence One Student at a Time". Wadena is also home to St Ann's Catholic School and Wadena Technical College.
